The green of the baldric and tabard represent Rochester, New York, the flower city. The golden braid design is influenced by older versions of the band regalia and honors the original 98th Division Band. The mace and tabard display the distinctive unit insignia of the 99th Regional Support Command. The drum is painted with a shield in the shape of the shoulder sleeve insignia inscribed with the band's name.
